If you follow my instagram, you probably knew that before my birthday I made illustrations of my birthday wishlist. I put Paragliding Trip as one of my #birthdaywishlist. My squad Lala, Caca, and Oucha gave a surprise present which can be redeemed in a week after my birthday. On the day, they texted me about what to wear and be ready cos they're picking me up at home.
Inside the car I keep asking like a 5 years old, but they won't tell, I know we're going outside the city, but didn't know exactly where. We stopped by at the rest area to eat and buy some snacks. We chatted when Caca spilled out by saying "I didn't tell my father that we're going to Puncak", I was like "riteeee, we're going to Puncak!" and she still denying saying "nope, but we're going to the peak (Puncak means Peak) of love." #punintended. Oucha and Lala were like freezed. It was a funny moment.
We arrived there around noon, many people already waiting to take their turn. They signed up for me and we're waiting. I was excited and anxious at the same time. But when it comes the time to fly I was so relaxed. The departing moment was the best, you started to run and your feet lifted up to the sky. AIRWALK! 5 minutes in heaven. I held a monopod stick with GoPro camera, I couldn't make it longer, I tried but I didn't want to break it cos it's not mine. I managed to record a message to my friends who gave me the best experience. Since my tandem partner heard that I just had my birthday, he said "this is my birthday gift to you" and started to play the handle by pulling it so we swung left and right. Sensational! It's hard to describe so you gotta see it yourself, even I can imagine the PURE JOY by re-watching the video. I didn't cut the footage while I'm up there cos I want to show the real-full experience.
On our way home, Puncak did a roadblock traffic by closing the road and stop traffic depending on the peak hours. Hard to explain but we ended up had to wait for almost 2 hours in traffic jam. I got bored and stepped out of the car to play with my pennyboard, and two foreign guys walked towards us and started to chat with us til finally the road opened!
